Just wanted to share my TESTIMONY

I wanted to share my testimony....regarding Craigslist :) Not only is Craigslist how we found this great big duplex that we are living in. But, yesterday I listed 2 items the bed and loveseat/ottoman combo at 11:20 am and by 2pm today they were both paid in full and out of sight. I recieved a minumum of 60 emails. So go forth and list on Craigslist brothers and sisters.

Who else loves these?

Ed started buying me these UGLY dolls before the hype since one of Obama's girls got one. I love them. So on a special occasion I usually get one for my collection. Does anyone else have an UGLY doll out there?

My NEW Studio

So these are photos of my new work space. I have 2 nice size windows and a balcony with a door and screen door. So when it warms up I can open the door and let the fresh air in. I am not a fussy studio GAL ,I enjoy a workable space. So with the help of my Mom we cleaned and purged before the MOVE so most everything is labeled and in some sort of place. It is probably the most organized space I have ever had. The large primitve cabinet is storage for fabric and books.
My two work stations. A cabinet I purchased when I was 22 years old from Spiegel it came unfinished and I stained it green then later I crackled it white. There is a TV inside and I have cable in here.

More supplies and goodies.

A tiny little child's folding table in cherry red. I hope it doesn't become a huge catch all.
I am so glad to finally get somewhat organized. Ready to work again. This MOVE took way longer than planned. Glad to be moving toward some sort of normal. I have MISSED blogging, being online and working. Everything concerning our phones was messed up and even now we have a phone cord running through Ed's office through the hallway and down the stairs across the entry way and into the dining room. Luckily my brother has offered to install a jack. Thanks for all the kind words of encouragement and the help with the MOVE.

Well it is 9:56 pm and I am getting my fix at Starbucks

If you know me I am not at Starbucks for the coffee. Not a coffee drinker. I am here for my email and blog fix. I am not good without this communication. In fact I told Candice that I prefer to communicate by email. (Horrible isn't it) Not really the complete truth but a quick note compared to leaving a phone message is what I prefer. I feel out of the loop.
Good NEWS. This is a copy of the email I received from CBS Sunday Morning:
Dear Jenny:

I just wanted to drop you a note to thank you so much for sending me your sun artwork. It's really incredible, and unlike any other sun that I've ever received.

With your permission, I'd like to send it to our graphics department, where they will record a copy of it and file it in our still store system for possible use on future Sunday Morning broadcasts.

Our sun collection grows larger and more varied each week thanks to folks like yourself who are kind enough to think of us.

Take care, and enjoy your weekend.

Sincerely,
Jessica Frank
Sun Coordinator
CBS News Sunday Morning

I was really happy to have received this from her. Made my day.
I also applied for a Creative Renewal Fellowship. Crossing my fingers for that one. The Lilly Endowment gives monies to artists to take time to travel, learn and by new equipment or supplies. I would love to get the chance to do those things. I worked on this the day after we moved. Typing on a box and then searching for a CD to burn. Of course I was down to the wire. But I got it in on time. Now the waiting begins.
Moving: Well I am in. I had to purge once I got in to the new place. No room for a couple of things and then a couple things just didn't survive the move. So this spring Ed will get a new grill. Poor grill. I am exhausted though. Nothing goes smoothly. I always expect that I will have to deal with something and one thing is that we were without phone service for 4 days and Internet will be even longer. No water for most of one day etc. It feels like home already though. When you start putting up your artwork and of course the deer head with the FEZ how could it not! I think we are going to be happy here. Very friendly neighbors and lots and lots of Dogs. Lucy has a bunch of windows to look out of now and she can run from the living room straight into the kitchen. She is a happy dog. Took more stuff to sell in my Midland booth today.
Missing my Polk Street neighbors.

Hope to blog and add some new photos on Saturday!

It's all fun and games until you MOVE!

I am exhausted. The movers come tomorrow and I thought it would be more cost effective to move all the boxes and small stuff. Well I have been moving stuff everyday for 12 days now. In 13 inches of snow and very cold temps and now in warm muggy weather with soggy mud. I would love to be Samantha in Bewitch and just wiggle my nose and all the curtains and rods are up, the pictures are on the wall the furniture arranged perfectly. Hell, I would even like my spice drawer alphabetized. Why not? Even though I purged a lot I still have too much. I just don't know what to part with. It is hard being an artist. We need stuff. It is how I am inspired. My nest has to be pleasing. Anyway, this too shall pass. It is all temporary. I miss blogging and creating.

MOVING MOVING MOVING

I am spending the majority of my time now getting ready for the MOVE. The big truck will pull up soon and then the nesting will begin again. My mom just packed all of this white pottery yesterday. I started collecting this when I was 18 years old....so it was some time ago. It all started when my Brother and wife bought their first house. The previous owners had a yard sale and I spent I think .50 cents on my first white vase. Back then you could buy them at the Thrift Shops for under a dollar. That doesn't happen anymore. Plus, Martha came into play and they were gobbled up. I left the hand written prices on them from the Goodwill. More boxes tomorrow.
