"Donation" for Partners Inside

So I decorated a birdhouse for a fundraiser for People & Places Up Close. Homelessness. The event is this Saturday May 21st from 6 to 9 pm at the City Market $35- a ticket is anyone wants to go and support the cause.
I haven't been working on much to sell lately and the things I have made haven't made it to any venues. So I am sharing this with you. I love how dark the bird hole ((((is that what you would call it, bird hole?????))) is. I think she looks like a pirate smoking a cigarette. It is wierd and funky which frankly I love. Hopefully someone will bid on it and the monies will go to the great cause. The folks involved in Partners Inside have been so kind.

"The Spangles" Samantha, Chris and Mittens

Their wedding was yesterday and I made them a cake topper. This is the 4th one I have done so far. Just a simple whimsy rendition of the newlyweds.

I have been making a bunch of things lately jewelry, clay things, painting wooden objects etc. nothing has made it to my etsy store. Not sure when that will happen. I may save it all for a little show I want to have in my backyard in September. Not sure yet.

I have gotten out the habit of blogging and even listing on etsy since I got my part time job at a frame shop can't seem to juggle it all right yet. Who knows maybe I needed a break. Loving the blue skies and lilac's of spring.

you light up my LIFE

Kitchen Fan and Light NOW

So we have lived in our house now a year, a month and 17 days. I am itching to make some changes. This one involves the lighting in our kitchen...I guess the folks that lived here before used the eating area in the kitchen as a family room and since they had a ceiling fan with no light in there we assumed we would need a fan. So we need a light over our table and bought a ceiling fan with a light in it. Now after a year, a month and 17 days we have learned that the kitchen is the only room in the house that is properly heated and cooled. No need for a FAN and the lighting is horrible. We need a proper light.....I am having a hard time trying to decide what works for the space. So the following pics are the lights I like that could work. Any thoughts?

Women of Worship (last post)

So the show is all hung at the church it has been up for a week. The titles for the artwork at the church are scripture. Here I am now sharing who the women are. There are 17 pieces in the series all priced at $125- each. It hangs through March at St. Lukes United Methodist Church, Indianapolis, IN.
