Magazines and Pinterest
I got a stack of magazines the other day from my mom and it surprised me that I didn't jump in and read them. Had this happened a few years back I would of been tearing pages out, folding corners and reading captions etc. It dawned on me that since Pinterest I barely crack open a magazine. Not only did Pinterest change things but, many beloved magazines went away. So now I'm taking photos with my iPhone and pinning ideas from the stack my mom brought me. Here are some things that caught my eye.

My family
Both my husband Ed and my sweet niece Riley had tests at different hospitals at the same time yesterday. Ed has esphogial varicises due to his liver issues which had to be banded. Imagine hemroids in your throat. Ugh! Little Riley had a heart Cath. Ed was exhausted, he could barely keep his eyes open so I got dinner for Katie (my niece) and myself and went to see her and little Riley. Because babies are cuter than 59 year olds I'm sharing this photo I snapped. Riley will have a big surgery in a couple of months on her heart. They all have a big chunk of my HEART ❤️.

Something I haven't mentioned here in the blog.....
My husband Ed has been chronically ill for many, many years. Since the fall of 2015 he has been in evaluation for a liver transplant. As of today he is still not on the list but he is having a hearth catherization. Just more step until he can get on the list. So, I'm here at Methodist hospital in the waiting area just waiting (of course). It's been a long journey as he was diagnosed with liver disease 9 years ago. There is a liver walk coming up on August 13th here in town and we have a team. If you want to walk with us please let me know. We came up with the name of Liver and Onions. I did a fun little graphic for the shirts. If you are a prayer warrior please add Ed to your list. Xo

Are you a FOODIE?????
These box signs from Primitives by Kathy really caught my eye. I grew up with a father who owned a tractor, worked with his hands and planted a garden every year. He would drive his tractor around the neighborhood plowing and disking small gardens in our little corner of the world. As a family we spent hours planting, hoeing and weeding. My maternal grandparents lived on a 5 acre mini farm where we had the big garden. We had another one on our one acre lot as well. From a very young age my mom, grandmother and I would can and freeze vegetables. I love them all. ❤️ anyway, These signs are for sale in my home studio along with my own artwork. Any interest? I can ship too!!!!
