Last Saturday was Fountain Square Art Fair
So...it was a sloooooooow but it is a very young show and my expectations were not real high. It was good to be there. Funny thing is I didnt sell any artwork. No collages zip nadda. But just little things. The area is in flux and there is a lot of struggle but I do love the area so it was worth it. Well organized. I will do it next year. In the second picture is a group of young women who dress in alternative victorian garb. So fun to see what they were doing. I was kind of jealous that they found each other. I think we artists kind of feel like a lone duck.
Congrats to Mr. Mike Altman for being a winner at Masterpiece in a Day. He rocks!

SOLD! Ursuline Art Fair - Louisville KY
I just had the best time doing the Ursuline Art Fair in Louisville, KY. The weather was pretty good only a shower in the morning Saturday and not too awfully hot. But the best part were the people. I love the folks in Louisville. They are always so friendly and they buy handmade items! I really enjoyed being at the show. It has been 5 years since I have been there for an art fair. I even recognized some of the people there. Love the other artists, always willing to help out and lending a helping hand. It was a great show and I feel my work was well recieved. I sold the piece shown here as well as many others that have gone off to new homes and offices. THANKS KY for supporting the ARTS!!!

Some time ago my husband decided that he would run for the position of State Representative. Running for office is not an easy task. Looking forward to Nov. 4th. :) Vote for Ed!!! Get to know the people that we are voting for in our State and City races it is just as if not more important than who is President of our Country!

"Tastes Funny"
Ed and I had the grand privilege of hosting Daniel and Rani from Australia for 2 weeks during the Indy Fringe Festival held here on Mass Ave in downtown Indianapolis. It ended Sunday evening and I drove them to the airport on Monday morning. We will miss them. It was great fun having them here and seeing all the shows. We also met their friend "Birdmann" who was great as well. I hope they come back for 2009. Check out their website. They travel the world - read their bios and hope we will see them again!!!!!

paper collages OH My!
I am working on the Ursiline Art Fair in Louisville, KY coming up on Sept. 20th and 21st. Sooooooo much to do still. Seems I either get a bunch done or nothing. I am happy with these paper collages that will be for sale at the show and all the leftovers will be on my etsy site. www.jennyelkins.etsy.com after the show. They are $32- each.
